Teamwork and shared workspace access
Working with a team? Multilogin lets each person use their own Multilogin account while you control what they can see and change in the workspace.
➡️ In the top navigation bar, click “Team” to invite people and manage their access.
Use roles to control what someone can do, and folders to control which cloud phones and browser profiles they can work with. This keeps shared work organized without giving everyone access to everything.
Who can use this feature?
- 👨💻 Account owner and manager
- 💰 Available on Pro 10 and higher
How teamwork works
Each person joins the workspace with their own Multilogin account. Their role decides what they can do.
- Owner: manages the whole workspace and all team roles
- Manager: manages profiles, folders, operators, and starters
- Operator: works with profiles they have access to
- Starter: starts profiles they have access to without changing their setup
Owners and managers can work across the workspace. Operators and starters get access through the folders assigned to them.
Not sure which role fits someone on your team?
See Workspace roles and permissions for the full breakdown.
Folders and shared work
Once everyone has the right role, use folders to decide which accounts they actually work with.
Browser profiles and cloud phones have separate folder structures, so a folder you create for browser profiles won’t automatically appear under cloud phones, and vice versa. Set up folders separately for each profile type based on how your team works.
Notes and tags can add extra context inside the workspace, while different team members can work at the same time using different profiles.

How teams actually split the work
There’s no single “right” team setup. The useful part is deciding who owns which accounts, what they can access, and how work gets handed over.
👥 Agency: split clients between account managers
Say your agency manages 20 client accounts.
Create folders by client, then give each operator access only to the clients they handle. A manager can keep an eye on the full workspace and step in when someone is away.
This is much easier than everyone jumping between every client account throughout the day.
🛒 E-commerce: separate day-to-day work from admin work
A store team might have one person handling listings and customer messages while someone else looks after higher-level account settings.
Keep each store or marketplace in its own folder, then give operators access only to the accounts they work with.
That way, the person doing routine work doesn’t need access to every account in the business.
💬 Messaging teams: make handoffs obvious
If several people cover accounts across different shifts, organize folders by client, region, or support queue.
Use notes and tags to leave context for the next person, such as what was already handled or what still needs attention.
The next person can pick up the work without having to figure out where the previous shift left off.
🤖 Automation teams: keep testing separate from live work
Automation teams can separate test profiles from profiles used for regular account work.
For example, keep development and testing in their own folders, then give operators access only to the profiles they need for each workflow.
This makes it much clearer which profiles are safe to experiment with and which ones are part of the regular workflow.
What to do next
Once you know who needs access to what, set up the workspace around the way your team actually works:
- Manage team members to invite people and update their access
- Check workspace roles and permissions before choosing a role
- Organize profiles with folders to keep accounts split by client, project, store, or region
FAQs
Can I add more team seats?
On Pro plans, the number of team seats is fixed and you can’t buy extra seats separately. If you need more, upgrade to a Business plan, which includes unlimited team seats.
Which folders can team members access?
Managers can access all workspace folders. Operators and starters only get access to the folders assigned to them.
Does everyone need to share the owner’s Multilogin login?
No. Each person joins with their own Multilogin account and gets access based on their role and folders.
Can several team members work at the same time?
Yes. Team members can work in the same workspace at the same time. Use separate profiles when several people are working at once.
