How to move browser and mobile accounts to Multilogin
Switching to Multilogin? For browser accounts, create a browser profile and import your saved cookies. For mobile app accounts, create an Android cloud phone, install the app, and sign in again.
➡️ Choose “Mobile” or “Browser” → note the account’s current region and login details → create a Multilogin profile → import cookies or install the app → sign in and check if everything works.
Here’s the important part: you can’t copy a complete profile from another tool directly into Multilogin. Every tool builds and stores its profiles differently.
Get everything ready first
Don’t delete or close your old profile yet. Collect what you’ll need before starting the move:
- Login details: check the account’s username, email, and password
- Verification: make sure you can access its phone number, authenticator app, or recovery codes
- Working region: note the proxy country and market normally used for the account
- Browser accounts: export the account’s cookies as JSON
- Mobile accounts: download any images, videos, documents, or APKs you still need
Keep the old profile available until you’ve successfully opened the account in Multilogin.
Move the account
Mobile app account
Use an Android cloud phone when the account is managed inside a native mobile app.
Step 1: create a cloud phone
Create a dedicated Android cloud phone for the account and match it to the account’s usual setup.
➡️ Go to “Profiles” → “Mobile” → click “Create”.
Choose the main settings:
- Proxy: add a public proxy in the account’s usual country or region
- Android version: choose a modern version supported by the app
- Device: choose a higher-performance brand and model for demanding apps
- Phone number: keep its country consistent with the account and proxy when needed
See the full guide on how to create an Android cloud phone.
Step 2: install the app and files
Install only the apps and files needed for the account’s real workflow.
➡️ Start the cloud phone → install the app → upload the files you need.
Choose the method that fits your task:
- App library: click “Apps” → find the app → click “Install” without using proxy traffic
- Google Play: sign in to Google Play and install the app using proxy traffic
- ADB: install an approved APK or transfer files on Android 11 or higher
- Upload tool: add images, videos, and documents directly from your computer

Step 3: sign in and check the account
Sign in with the account’s existing details and confirm that everything still works in the new cloud phone.
➡️ Open the app → sign in → complete any verification → stop and restart the cloud phone → open the app again.
Check the following:
- Account: confirm that the correct social profile is open
- Verification: make sure you or your teammate can access the account’s email, phone number, authenticator app, or recovery codes
- Files: check that the app can access the images, videos, or documents you uploaded
- Session: restart the cloud phone and confirm that the app kept you signed in
Multilogin cloud phones can't receive SMS codes directly. Retrieve the code from the real phone or SMS provider connected to the account’s number.
See how to complete SMS verification using Multilogin cloud phones.
Browser account
Use a browser profile when the account is managed through a website, dashboard, seller center, CRM, or other web tool.
Step 1: export the cookies
Export the account’s cookies from your current tool so you can bring its saved browser session into Multilogin.
➡️ Open your current tool → find its cookie export option → export the cookies as JSON.
Check the cookie file before continuing:
- Format: make sure the file contains valid JSON
- File size: keep the file under 100 MB
- Security: store the file securely because cookies may contain active account session data
Step 2: create a browser profile
Create a regular browser profile that will keep the account’s cookies and session data after you stop it.
➡️ Go to “Profiles” → “Browser” → click “Create”.
Choose the main settings:
- Profile type: choose a regular profile instead of a quick profile
- Operating system: select the OS of the computer where you’ll run the profile
- Browser: choose Mimic for most modern websites and use Stealthfox only when you need Firefox-specific behavior or extensions
- Storage: choose cloud storage for team or cross-device access and local storage for one computer
- Proxy: keep the old proxy if it still works or choose another one in the same intended region
- Fingerprint: keep the default settings unless the workflow requires a specific change
You do not need to copy every setting from the old tool. Focus on the operating system, browser, proxy region, and storage, then let Multilogin handle the default browser settings.
Step 3: import and check the cookies
Import the cookies into the new profile, then check whether the website recognizes the saved session.
➡️ Select the browser profile → right-click → choose “Cookies” → “Import cookies” → upload the JSON file or paste the cookie data → click “Import”.
Check the result:
- Session: start the profile and open the website to see whether the correct account is already signed in
- Verification: sign in normally if the website asks for a password or verification code
Cookie import may restore the session, but automatic login is not guaranteed.
See the cookie import guide for more details.
Moving between Multilogin accounts
Already using Multilogin and only need to move profiles to another Multilogin account? Use the built-in transfer options for browser profiles or Android cloud phones.
These transfers can move more data because both accounts use Multilogin’s own profile format.
